Hickory Allergy & Asthma Clinic provides medical services to children and adults for allergy, asthma, and related health problems. We have offices located in Hickory and Statesville, North Carolina.  We have two providers to include a physician and a Physician Assistant.

We treat asthma, allergic rhinitis (hay fever), sinusitis, COPD, food allergy, drug allergy, insect sting allergy, skin allergy, headaches to include sinus and migraines, chronic or recurrent cough, nasal and chest congestion, and ear problems. 


Allergy testing
can be done by skin tests and/or blood tests (RAST). Conventional or rapid desensitization (allergy shots) is offered to appropriate patients. 

Spirometry (a breathing test), oxygen saturation, an EarCheck test, and mini CAT Scan of the sinuses are available in our office.  You get quick results and medication treatment can begin the same day, when indicated.
 


Hospital affiliations include Catawba Valley Medical Center and Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory; also, Davis Regional Medical Center and Iredell Memorial in Statesville.  We file most insurances.

Joseph T. Inglefield, III, M.D., is board certified in pediatrics and in pediatric and adult allergy and immunology. 

Dr. Inglefield completed a pediatric residency and a fellowship in allergy and immunology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He attended medical school at the Medical College of Virginia of Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. 

Dr. Inglefield was a Morehead Scholar at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill where he received his B.A. degree. He is a graduate of St. Albans School in Washington, D.C. He serves as President of the North Carolina Society of Asthma & Allergy and is a Past President of the Catawba County Medical Society.  He is Medical Director of Camp Air Adventure in Hickory, North Carolina.

He sees patients in the Hickory and Statesville Offices.
